Matteo Ragni, graduated in Architecture at the
Politecnico di Milano. From 1998 to 2005 he founded and
managed the studio Aroundesign with Giulio Iacchetti, with
whom he was awarded with Compasso d’Oro ADI for the
disposable biogradable spork “Moscardino”, which is now part
of the permanent design collection at MOMA New York.
He recently won the Wallpaper Design Award ’08 with Leti, a
table lamp/book end produced by Danese. Today, along with
his activity of designer, he teaches, he works as an architect
and an art director.
Matteo Ragni has received numerous design awards,
including honorable mention in PREMIO MACEF 2002,
“Ricciolo”, 1st prize Buyers Jury and Elle Decor International
Design Awards, Young Design Talent, Italy
Matteo Ragni has taught in a lot of universities, among
these: Politecnico di Milano, Faculty of Design; Domus
Academy, IED, Istituto Europeo di Design Milano, Edinburgh
College of Art, Edinburgh, Scotland.
